Yes, not a misprint....now that NHRA has switched to 1000' racing instead of 1320' for their Top Fuel and Funny Cars that use nitromethane each team is burning about a gallon of fuel less per pass.
Yeah, instead of 12-13 gallons per 1/4 mile they are getting 11-12 gallons per 1000' pass. It takes a lot of fuel to run a near 8000 hp motor of only 500 cubic inches down the 1/4...they were running over 330 mph, now they are running over 310!
