I don't think you're driving like a jerk if you enjoy all of the torque in a turbo diesel since you can still get decent mileage ( I got over 40). The fun ends abruptly as the rpms rise so you've had your fun before you break the posted speed limit and torque vectoring (VW ESP) limits wheel spin--if you're practiced at it That! I miss about my old car.
