funny thing happened to me on the way to work this morning....

lost yet another moon! left rear. was wired on and that's what alerted me. they are into a 6 month road resurface so there are some rough parts. going to fast(hindsight)of 30 mph,i heard a loud snap, side mirror showed a full moon, rolling down the road. one wire snapped, other worked loose from the dark side of the moon anchor(it's still attached to rim).
looked for it but didn't have boots. it rolled into tall a grassy watery ditch. tomorrow after work I will pack boots and get it. might find 2 others there also.
there is only 1 other option that won't be spendy or a ton of work: elastic cords. I will replace the hooks with a smaller bailing wire, shrink wrap the cords and wire. when I snake the cords through the rim, there will be enough tension to keep it in place, shrink tubing will protect it somewhat from the elements.
if this doesn't work, I will remove them, for good.
