It's on a list now, but first I have to find them.

You can see in the lower left the notches almost lap each other. Once I've soldered on double-thickness tabs, I can drill over-size holes and use an offset washer in nylon or neoprene. With pan-head screws.

I want to know how you like the Cooper tires? Not a word about them!

the new ones don't seem to be getting the mileage i got on the older ones(CS4 vs CS5). the old ones had 90K so not sure if readings were off because of the old circumference difference to the new ones.
i like the highway feel, quiet, good grip in the corners. had a little rain time and i felt in control.
just not sure yet about mpg's.
surprised you asked.

Your new tire rolling resistance will continue to improve as the tread wears away, and you'll see your highest mpg right at the point where they're worn out.
Also,a new tire undergoes a chemical change within it's 1st 4,000 miles of driving before the rubber stabilizes at it's final coefficient.

funny thing happened to me on the way to work this morning....

lost yet another moon! left rear. was wired on and that's what alerted me. they are into a 6 month road resurface so there are some rough parts. going to fast(hindsight)of 30 mph,i heard a loud snap, side mirror showed a full moon, rolling down the road. one wire snapped, other worked loose from the dark side of the moon anchor(it's still attached to rim).
looked for it but didn't have boots. it rolled into tall a grassy watery ditch. tomorrow after work I will pack boots and get it. might find 2 others there also.
there is only 1 other option that won't be spendy or a ton of work: elastic cords. I will replace the hooks with a smaller bailing wire, shrink wrap the cords and wire. when I snake the cords through the rim, there will be enough tension to keep it in place, shrink tubing will protect it somewhat from the elements.
if this doesn't work, I will remove them, for good.

funny

Well you've earned your stripes in the Lost-Moon fraternity!
Bummer.
Hope you find the errant covers.
I'll flag down the next Southweast Airlines 737 and ask the captain how he keeps his on the plane.

found the moon...

the moon was shot:

it was ran over. had rolled through the grassy knoll, ended uo on the shoulder of the freeway and was killed.

there's the beloved safety wire:

i wasted too much time trying to make it work but it will only be a wall hanging.
