Perhaps we shuld open a specific thread for the boost converter?
Paul have you still got that PCB layout for the gate driver IC, showned a couple posts behind?
The issue I'm having is the compromise between using a single big IGBT with a huge inductor at 20Khz or so or going SIC mosfet's at a few hundred Khz, perhaps interleaved, with much smaller size/higher efficiency. I havent been able to find such a thing as a 200A mosfet in a brick package, rated for 600V.
Not to forget I plan to use the same setup for a high power vehicle charger, which complicates things (EMI/Harmonic compliances). I'm wondering how none of you guys ever mentioned the charger, how do you people charge!??
