Got the phone call this morning that my support plate was done!
The support plate looked good and I got it painted before I started my re-assembly.
I now have the proper clearance from the Coroplast floor!
I decided not to make things overly complicated by trying to move things around so I kept the air bag spring in the front to maximize the spring capacity since the support plate is reinforced with stiffening plates. I did remove the air gauge as it's really not needed and the stiffening plates will provide some protection to the air valve.
I am considering adding a shock absorber by attaching it from one side of the wheel axle to one of the stiffening plates near the front. I'll have to see if one from a motorcycle or scooter will work or not.
Looks like I'll git to test the improved setup on the trip out to Gonzales, TX.
