The SVX didn't come out for eight more years. The contemporary XT actually had pretty similar sized A-pillars as this concept, though. Without widening the pillar it's hard to get it any rounder. And then you'd have to redo the front fender and greenhouse...
I think they were doing just fine for 1983, when everyone was just figuring out how to round out their cars again.

N13 EXA (Pulsar NX).
As for the camera...
maybe. The '83 Buick Questor concept had a
crude navigation setup, displaying on a tiny black and green CRT monitor. I don't know if digital cameras were up to the task back then!
