Flowable at 150 degrees isn't good for a dash mount in the summer, even in New Hampshire. I got UG's horizontal surface mount for like $6- and mine's offset to the left so I can see the trip odometer.
PaleMelanesian found that the belly pan acts as a grille block (that's where the air coming in through the grille leaves the engine bay), so they're probably an either/or.
Interrupting the ignition coil fuse seems simplest to me. I got Daox's 3D printed shifter switch but am still trying to power the relay properly. It'll happen.
And welcome!
