Granted this is not a diesel engine but if done correctly a small diesel can be boosted safely and have the performance of a much larger engine due to there beefy construction. The trick is to not only add air but also fuel! In my case with the electric supercharger the extra fuel comes from the Lithium batteries as well as the water/meth injection system.
