Thanks, I guess. That sort of represents everything I'm against, except is is a Superbeetle.

Sort of because it does represent an early form of open source — plans published in Popular Mechanics and it is a coachbuilt-'wagen.

I think more along the lines of a Rumpler Tropfenwagen built as a woodie with Studebaker Starlight coupé rear glass, a bamboo frame and bamboo slats in the headliner and side panels, and sea-grass floor mats.
