If you look on fuelly, you see the overall average for 2015 with the 2.7 is 17.86 mpg (180,000 miles tracked). The overall 2015 average (all motors) is 17.1 mpg which is up from the overall 2014 average of 15.9 mpg.
This guy probably has the best potential (2wd, 3.31 axle) and he has averaged 20 mpg with 60% highway miles.
