I had a then-new '94 Chevy C1500 W/T 4.3 / auto with the optional 3.73:1 rear that averaged 26 more than once. With the optional 3.42:1 gears it should have been capable of 29, though I doubt the standard 3.08:1 rear could have managed 29, would've been too close to lugging. Turbo that to 14.7 psi in the intake manifold, it would be 330 HP and 470 TQ.
These newer trucks have too much unnecessary frontal area for the sake of looking macho. Likewise with them riding too high.
