My Mirage is #20 on the gas car chart. Today I drove I64 east at 65-70 mph in heavy traffic. I did not mess with any engine off and hit 59.6 mpg indicated. Not bad for a $12,964 otd new 2015 (manual). Knock a few grand off for used but you don't get the 100k warranty.
I pulsed to get tailgaters to back off or pass, but generally stayed behind the truck I was following, average separation probably less than 4 car lengths (60 feet). Drafting mandatory.
