I noticed today that sometimes the radiator fan comes on. Even when the engine is not at operating temperature!

For example, right with the start of the engine until like 15 seconds later it turns off. And at random other times. Like today, coolant temperature is at 54 degrees Celcius.

Is there any reason that explains the activation of the fan? It does not stay on for long, like 10-20 seconds...

Cause, i didnt payed attention to it, but right now, when i get to the limit of hypermiling my car, all very small details pay off, so if i can add a switch to prevent the activation of the fan until the engine is at temperature, that would be good for a very small increas!
