I should have been more clear.
My vehicle choice would be the same.
What I MEANT to say is:
I have a serious aversion to oil use because of economic security, national security and environment. I hope that the result of Peak Oil is not Life @ defcon-5. It helps that Saudi Arabia wont increase production, because it creates a plateau for 5-10 years before any serious decline in oil production, all else being equal. This give us a window of opportunity. It gives the average person time to mentally adjust to ever increasing energy costs, and make smart decisions. It is also an opportunity for us to invent our way out of the worst effects of peak oil, and least in wealthy countries. After all, we once fought wars over salt, because it could preserve food.
