My opinion is that it doesn't matter.
*coming to a point,as in Jaray's pumpkin seed was considered 'ideal' by Kamm/Koenig-Fachsenfeld.Any truncation (up to a point) will generate Morelli's 'fluid ' tail.
*Kamm's truncations at the FKFS were almost circular
*MIT used a 5.3% cambered Morelli form body for their 1993 Aztec solar racer. This body has what Goro Tamai refers to as Topedo with Flattened Tail, which was intentionally truncated to make space for license plate and tailights.Aptera as well. These bodies had pretty tasty drag numbers.
*The model will be much like the CUER solar racer,Cd 0.10,but truncated for license and lights. With an elliptical transom,it should produce the 'fluid' tail as well.
