Duh
Sorry No Pictures,
I worked and worked and forgot
so you'll just have to use your imagination and beep out all the cussing.
I welded the cannibalized Geo seat parts to the Integra seat
and Guess What?
It won't work.
Too much metal in the way for the mechanism to operate well.
in the words of my Grandson
"Duh, Grampa"
So I cut it all up
and started over,
then in a flash of brilliance (OK, a little spark)
An Idea
My neighbor is having a yard sale (whats that got to do with the price of cheese)
Hold on counselor, lets see where he's going with this.
There is an old bed-frame there. (see it yet?)
$2.oo usd later (he wanted $5.oo I told him what was up and gave him all the change in the Geo)
I had frame work for the sliders.
I welded some angle iron ( thats all bed-frames are anyway)
to the Integra seat (much easier than welding sheet metal too)
and fabricated a mount for the right runner.
!!!!!!!!!!OOOOH!!!!!!
and it works lovely.
I will get pics tomorrow.
It started to rain on me and I'm allergic to high tension electricity and rain.
Tomorrow am
Yes 08:00 am
I will begin work on the driver seat.
With all my wealth of knowledge now
Graduate
Someone Came Loudly
School of Hard Knocks
I should be able to get it done in a couple of hours.
maybe less.
I know what I need and,
what to cut, and
where to weld,
So my biggest problem is pulling all my tools and equipment from the mess of my garage and then cleaning it all up when I'm done.
TTFN,
Schultz
