Yeah, I like spritely EVs, but battery mass makes range. That'll yield a smoother ride than all other compact cars and appeal to the soccer moms that are accustomed to driving tanks around.
One of those I know finally abandoned her Suburban for a Prius V. She now has religion about fuel economy, and remarked that the ride isn't too bad either!
