NEW CAR JOINED THE TEAM: 2000 INSIGHT, 5-SPEED.

Someone hit my Accord in the parking lot at work. Insurance paid for damage repair but the car had so many issues...

My former DD Accord had been on this team for a few years, pulling low to mid 40's mpgs. I expect much better from the Insight. First fillup was 59.9 mpg but that was over 500 miles with some known issues which now are handled.

I considered joining the Gen-1 Insights team with "outasight" but - since I stuck this team with my lowish mpg Accord for years, I figured I'd stay true to the team and give it the benefit of what should be a high mpg car with the Insight.

So far, I've only worked to get the new car up to "Stage 0", all squared up on standard maintenance and repairs. Plus I plugged in my ScanGauge. True mods will come later...

Today's trip up to work, after the fillup, netted 68 mpg over about 40 miles. Car was all warmed up by the time I filled it, so give some credit to that. That said, I have high hopes for OUTASIGHT.
