Early results... not ABA though...
The tail got its first highway run this weekend, and the round trip numbers were the best I've seen: in the high
3.x L/100km range / low
60's mpg US).
I don't have a lot of miles on the car for comparison, but the last time I did a round trip on the same road in similar conditions/speeds (PSL: 80 km/h / 50 mph), it was mid/high 50's mpg.
Don't trust my confirmation-bias-seeking brain though!
Up next:
-- The bottom of the car is a bit of a mess where the tail starts -- there's no smooth transition. I'll be doing that next.
-- Then I'd like to some stick yarn tufts on it and capture the airflow.
-- Then A-B-A.
