With your local rebuilder you are keeping your money in the local economy and if there is a problem I bet it would be taken care of quickly.
Rock Auto is great, but in the event of a problem, you are facing down time and shipping.
I doubt any newly made alternator is built in the US anymore. Might be for OE manufacturing but most likely not for aftermarket replacement parts.
If not for the local rebuilder Rock Auto is your best option.
