R/C? My vote is for a turtle ....made out of watermelons. Or Gamera.

RC cars were mentioned -- but the speed and size make aerodynamics far less important.

In the early-mid 90s I was privileged to work for a computer hard drive/scanner company. Friday afternoons we all went out in the back parking lot and the various departments competed. Tech support was small so we got the receptionist.
My co-worker did the drivetrain and chased cats around his neighborhood. I did the aerodynamics and paint. Juie, who had a hard drive named after her (there's your big hint) was really good at driving from a remote POV.
It was a plastic shell that had the front wheelwells masked for paint but not cut out. The entire back face was cut out. On the back straight, it made so much downforce that it left a trail of dust (the height of the car) it was sucking out of the pavement suspended in the air.
