The Forester doesn't do as good the rest of the year economy wise, city or highway. I have always had a fun muscle car but sold my last one, a Barracuda, a few years ago. These new muscle cars are so good looking and all around great performers I just figured I would pick a modern Challenger, Mustang, or Camaro next. Have been leaning Mustang bang for the buck, maybe just keep the Forester for the winter.
With a tune, I think 12's and 40mpg is possible, that's hard to do in anything other than the Ecoboost 'stang. I looked at other newer muscle cars as well, but the 4-banger Mustang just seemed to make sense, and it'll chirp the tires on the 2-3 shift
