Alright, had a few more hours to work on the car. Will get pictures up real soon, tomorrow is supposed to be really nice. I've got another 60 to 80 pounds of interior removed that needs to be dumped in the nearest trash as it is just sitting in the back of the car. Then it is off to the scales. I am pretty confident the Passat will now be under 2700 pounds as it was 2780 with headliner, rear door panels, Oh $h*t handles and brackets, some sound deadening, shelf above where rear seat was, Rear sun shade, Side curtain Airbags, unnecessary wiring, and a few other little things. Also, my gas is nearly empty so I can finally get a good empty weight.

Tomorrow I will get the muffler removed which probably weighs a good 25-30 pounds at least. After that, I'll pull the rear crash bar and arms for about 20 pounds or so.

I should be able to afford a nice set of coilovers to lower the rig in July, until then.......it's sky high....

By the way, the acceleration at highway speeds is amazing now with the huge weight reduction. Pulse and glide is much easier and should net me higher gains as soon as I get past the performance aspect of the car.
