Yup.

Who bought white perforated window vinyl and then someone asked which was more difficult, Plasti-Dipping a side mirror, or applying vinyl?

...and then
had someone ask...? It was a gotcha question. I've seen full body wraps (which run about $3000) that cover everything
except the mirrors. Covering a hood is straightforward. Wrapping the lower corners would be where they earn the money. The mirrors is where they give up.
Look at anything by dipyourcar.com on Youtube. Plastidip amounts to a vinyl wrap once you get to 5-8 coats.
'Frugal' would be to bare-metal the hood and polish it with steel wool every six months.
This one, for instance had been let go for 1 1/2 years. The car behind it has easily $4K in paint that requires constant maintenance. The owner saved enough that he could buy nice wheels and a Jeepers Creeper.
