I would change the intro to be more succinct. Sell the idea of the car, the trip, and what the car is about. You can also link a 15 second video. I'd also get a better picture with you standing in front of it with your display board.

If you do win, have the trip mpg certified by guiness for an mpg record. That could also be a selling point.
