Saab Aero-X Concept Car
I paid for the windshields for the new truck last week. The tooling was $12,500 and the windshields were a grand a piece. But we'll have a real DOT approved windshield and a spare.
It would have been $18,000, but I worked out a promotional deal with them.
And coincidentally, my laser scanning vendor was here today to scan all of the windshield and window perimeter flanges of the new truck cab. We couldn't take a chance that the real truck that we are building deviated from the CAD model by even a little. As everyone knows, you can only bend laminated windshield glass once. So we'll submit the laser scan data to our windshield vendor once it is converted to a CAD file, and the windshield will match the truck dead-nuts perfect. At least, that's the plan....
