I remember the first time gas went over $3 a gallon and everyone freaked out and everyone was trying to buy prius and electric vehicles that didn't exist.
Then 10 years later gas is at or near $3 a gallon and people go right back to buying SUVs and pickup trucks and almost no one wants electric vehicles.
But then gas goes to $3.50 and everyone freaks out again.
