I'm imagining quite a bit of EOC on that trip.

I've gotten that motor down to 3.5 l/100 with some EOC and 60 psi in the tires, but a mix of traffic and some hill climbs, versus 4 l/100 for the guys who weren't EOC'ing... I'm sure with EOC and absolutely no traffic, you could get down close to the 3 l/100 range. 2.89 certainly sounds possible, but if that trip required ANY mountain or grade climbing, that would be a tremendous accomplishment!
