At the current rate any changes to America's energy crisis is going to take decades to occur and meanwhile gas will be over $10 barrel by then which is why we need true leadership and a vision to truthfully become independent of foreign Arab oil. Not BS like this .18 cent gas tax holiday for a couple of months, what a crock.
What this country really needs is a leader who will not back down from removing the billions in oil subsidies and transferring them to electric car manufacturer's like the makers of the Aptera as well as Wind and Solar power plant producers. At the same time cut all the regulations surrounding new nuclear plants, refineries, and allow more drilling to boot. We need it all, but the only real solution is to move away from fossil fuel based consumption and towards renewable consumption. One strong move like that from the new president and I guarantee you GAS will immediately fall to under $3/gallon because the speculators will know America is finally serious on permanent renewable energy.
There is a very good reason why one of the candidates refuses to accept lobbyist money and the other's campaign is majority funded by lobbyists (and received another 2 million from the oil lobby just last week). Don't listen to their words, just follow the money to know who's pocket they are really in.
