Quick update on My Civic:

Got an estimate to repair wear and tear caused by the dodgy streets of Winnipeg (dodging potholes and hitting some). Upper ball joints, steering rack and pinion, wheel bearing right front, shifter bushing (That's been nasty for a very long time), exhaust pipe and new muffler. It's 2,500 and I know they missed a few things too (rear upper control arm bushings both sides, trailing arm bushings). I could do some of the work I suppose and save some cash, but no way am I messing with rusty exhaust work. Not ever going there again.

I'm looking to see what kind of used car I can get for that sort of money, preferably a newer Civic as I can transfer some parts to the new ride then.

Still might just go ahead and repair. I have not seen cut off switches installed in the newer generation Civics... Unless I have been out of the loop and someone has done?
