Sorry to hear about all tat repair work needed.

The 2001 and up Civics will have immobilizer electronics that give dudes headaches when they go for mods, like a kill switch.

But I do think you can do the most needful things here yourself for much less money: maybe all or most of it for $500 parts and a little welding labor. I replaced one wheel bearing, paying only a machinist with a press 20 or 30 bucks to press the new unit in. And I replaced my OEM muffler with a cheaper (and lighter/smaller) thrush paying a welder to attach it after I cut the old one off the exhaust. Pipes you could patch and paint against further rust.

Do you really need new steering? Man, thems some crappy roads!
