Cd

We could use a rear view of the car.If the parachute tubes are exposed,the Cd will be compromised.
With clamshell doors covering them,or an ejectable fairing (like Summers Brothers' Goldenrod) the Cd can be trimmed to the minimum.Around Cd 0.115 (subsonic).Less than 4-sq-ft frontal area.Weight is meaningless out there.They need all they can get to prevent wheel-spin and loss of control.
Low drag is nice.Driver safety is paramount.
PS @ above 250-mph,these cars are transonic,with shockwaves forming over parts of the body.The coefficient of drag will be transient,changing over the speed range.
