The back end of the belly pan is actually resting on the shock mount plates. The rubber cords keep it snugged up against the shock mount plates although the right side of the slotted angle rests on the right spring hence the rubber hose to keep the squeeks down to a minimum.

Yes, the hinges up front keep the belly pan aligned from sliding side to side. The rubber cords are angled to keep a small amount of side tension as well. The hinges are bolted to the rear crossbeam which is bolted to the truck frame.

The rear diffuser will git new hinges that will bolt into the slotted angle. The pin will git replaced with a stainless steel bolt so the diffuser can be removed without unbolting the hinge from the belly pan.
