You'll need to carry a 4" mirror on a salfie stick so you can show people the underside.

The back end of the belly pan is actually resting on the shock mount plates. The rubber cords keep it snugged up against the shock mount plates although the right side of the slotted angle rests on the right spring hence the rubber hose to keep the squeeks down to a minimum.
Yes, the hinges up front keep the belly pan aligned from sliding side to side. The rubber cords are angled to keep a small amount of side tension as well. The hinges are bolted to the rear crossbeam which is bolted to the truck frame.
The rear diffuser will git new hinges that will bolt into the slotted angle. The pin will git replaced with a stainless steel bolt so the diffuser can be removed without unbolting the hinge from the belly pan.

Took the truck out fer a spin today to see if there were any rattles or squeeks. None so far!
I picked up some slotted angle and aluminum angle, nuts, bolts, lock washers, and hinges at Home Depot this afternoon. Seems I will have to drill out the hinge barrels with a 1/4" drill bit so the replacement bolt will fit. I will mount the hinges to some scrap 2x4 wood so I will have better leverage and control when drilling.
I will add at least two more rubber cords per side as insurance in case the current ones fail.

Rear view. I've already pulled the chains and the rudimentary support I installed.

A view of the support brackets. I will have to install reinforcing plates tomorrow.

As a durable lightweight material, it was the next logical step that was stiff enough while being lightweight when compared to Coroplast. The rear belly pan and rear diffuser was about $200 in materials and hardware. If I were to continue with the engine bay belly pan, main belly pan, rear side skirts, side skirts, and rear wheel skirts, I think the entire underside would close in on $1000!
I will try to do the main belly pan in diamond plate in the future.
