I don't want to use any of my 305, 32SJ, 350 or 400 blocks. I'll save them for race engines.
I just thought using an engine that I bought for $30.00 would be cool and different. Let's say it's my poor-boy way of recycling.
Hears what I came up with.
1. 1980 267 block with stock pistons
2. 1980 '415 heads w/ 1.720 x 1.300 valves milled to 56cc
3. Comp Cam 244/244 195/195 .400/.400 110 LSA timing events are 16 48 56 8 with cam advance 4 degrees
4. Edelbrock EPS manifold with Holley 390 carb with my Annular Booster. Dual centering float and Quick Fuel adjustable Vac Pod.
5. Standard melling 55 oil pump.
Engine will be built for 0w-30 or 5w-30 synthetic oil. All engine bearings will be steel back as to hold their tolerances when the temp goes up.
The calculated Static Compression Ratio is 9.05:1 and the Dynamic Compression Ratio is 8.06:1.
I have a lot of the parts, but I'm looking at spending about $600.00 to finish the project.
