I think you'll find that most people on EM use mods that have solid scientific support. Acetone fails miserably in that regard.

Auto manufacturers have been striving to reduce the oil weight they can run in their engines to improve fuel economy. Honda specified 0w20 for the Insight hybrid - the most efficient car available in the US. That was no coincidence.
