If you are going to get a "7kw generator" with the intent of running it hard periodically to boost charge a electric vehicle there is absolutely no need for an inverter generator.
Now if you were going to completely charge the vehicle, run the A/C or heater and use the generator a lot below half capacity fairly often then the inverter may be a good choice.
