My main concern is that the spring force isn't high enough to make a difference. It's not going to make any difference when pressing the brakes, the idea is that there'll be a little bit of force trying to push the pads back off of the disk after the pedal is released. With the design of disk brakes there isn't anything normally.

I might put a bit more high temperate grease on the pad tabs to encourage them to slide back.
