There is a very special niche for Asian manga 'curiosities.' Shokushu goukan, a genre that was made famous by well-known ukiyo-e painter and woodblock printer, Katsushika Hokusai. His work has influenced many later creatives - Pietro Mascagni, Félicien Rops, Auguste Rodin, Louis Aucoc, Fernand Khnopff and especially the works of Pablo Picasso.
