Agreed Aerohead.
A short story/ theory on why the larg gap fill on the hood.
On kach22i hood .
I think it is nature showing us the flaws . Any accumulated snow is a resurrection zone that drops snow. Slowly filling the imperfections. Improving the Cd of the obstruction allowing less energy to be pulled out of the wind causing the wind speed to creep up eg the bow wake in both radius and distance from the front of truck. Increased as the storm went crazy with a bucket of quick set bondo and liberal use of the cheese grander soothing out the naborhood.
(Like filling 1/2" of bondo in the highest and lowest 5% pressure zones front and rear . Run in a wind tunnel, fill, run, fill ,run, ect. Till you got a purific shape.) I think you would end morphing to a verry similar shape fo the template. Given enough runs
Some of it is vertically accumulated from short periods of calm.
Filling the snow spots would massively improve cd. Becouse you are no longer paying to circulate that air.
Dreem big chisel down to reality
