I appears that because of the small scale the physical attachment of the spoilers introduces compromises.
Maybe the spoilers themselves are just way too large and thick to be of practical value?
No way would a full scale spoiler be so chunky.
The photos go a long way to explaining the challenges, and why so many were concerned with the "
fineness ratio".
Last time I saw something similar spoiler wise was a photo from the
Race of LeMons. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing, just an observation.
