As of now I have functioning electric starters and conventional batteries. But I've thought about starter ropes for my vehicles- at least the 3 and 4 cyl ones- for years. It would be nice to ditch the battery and the starter, wouldn't it? Would just need a magneto on the non-EFI ones for ignition; for the others a wee battery and charging system for the electronics or maybe a bigger deep cycle battery and plug-in regimen.
