I can see how an advanced engine might take advantage of one or the other on the fly. But when they are mixed together?
This used to be called 'neither fish nor fowl'. 14.7-1 sounds like the optimal stochastic ratio.

Stoichiometric mix for gas is 14.7:1 air:fuel. For e85 what i found was supposed to be around 9:1. "30% more" was what was said everywhere i looked yesterday. Also said e85 has an octane of around 100-110. Great for race fuel and high compression. And being that im usually between the rockies and Appalachians, e85 is plentiful. However i would hate to have the opportunity for a good job, say in washington, where e85 is 300 miles away.
