As a rule-of-thumb, fuel consumption while running on ethanol is usually around 30% higher, proportional to its lower energy density. Naturally, this difference might be lower in engines optimized to take advantage of the specfic conditions of ethanol such as its slower flame spread (which requires ignition timing to be advanced a little).
