Remember it is a buyers market, and buyers are often not rational.
They'll buy what they want, not what they need or even can afford.
If you sell you need them wanting.
Tesla needs to be and stay cool to be able to make long term profit.
So, with limited capacity as yet, they fork out the high spec cars first.
Cars you want but cannot buy are cool. Cars you can buy but do not want are not.
