second one could be a mini crx or insight.
the reason this shape is mostly avoided on hatchbacks is because it requires a sharp edge to go right trough where the rear window should be wich adds to the costs, decreases rear visibility and makes it more difficuly to place a simple wiper there. on the merto it would render the car very impractical as a 4 seater, but as a 2 seater it would be perfect
