Overview: 2018 Nissan LEAF - Nissan Online Newsroom
Well, you're comparing numbers from disparate tunnels here (A2 that was used for the Car & Driver test, and Nissan's tunnel, which likely has a rolling floor and larger sectional area). While Nissan didn't disclose the Leaf's Cd when it launched in 2010, in their press release for the 2013 refresh they stated that the "coefficient of drag for 2013 has been improved to 0.28 (versus the previous 0.29)." By 2017 they have it right there in the brochure: .28, the same figure they quote for the 2018.

So, no improvement with this new model. Way to go, Nissan!
