Recovering biomethane from sewers and landfills to use it as a fuel makes more sense than any pledge to ban ICEs.

I am favorable to biodiesel, but I don't single-out other alternate fuels such as ethanol or biomethane, which could eventually be used alongside biodiesel for reasons such as emissions control, performance improvements or just making the most efficient use of locally-available feedstock for renewable fuels. When it comes to booze, I do enjoy some beer, wine or cachaça once in a while. Hemp could actually be a good raw material for industrial purposes, replacing fiberglass and petrochemical products, and medical applications such as canabidiol should eventually become more widespread too, but I don't support the recreational use of marijuana.
