My stock oil cooler wet the bed ... blew 2.5 ga of oil into the coolent. Ugg.. well got a chance to studdy the passages. Flow is : oil pump , heat exchanger , oil filter , turbo/block. Sence I've mesured at many different operating temps from 100°f - 185°f at all points the IR temp gun said oil and water are a dead match with the digital coolent temp gauge,however the block was considerably cooler then oil or water.
This is making me reconsider the probe placement(was going to put it in the filter head) of my planned dedacated oil temp gage.
